2br Urban Oasis in Historic Fuller Park with Garden, Fruit Trees, and Plenty of Parking

Entire 3rd floor of a large house in historic Fuller Park for rent. The unit is 700sqft with its own heat (gas, forced air), hot water heater (electric), gas/electrical service. It was recently deep cleaned, repainted, and some new fixtures were... installed. The furnace was equipped with a smart thermostat.

This corner of the block has no other houses so there is street parking for about 50 cars. Parking is never an issue. There is also a gravel pad on the property by the alley that can be used for parking, but I use the street.

Along the property line are 4 kinds of raspberries (white, black, and two kinds of red) and blackberries. There is also a mulberry tree. The property is a double lot surrounded by empty lots with an existing garden and plenty of room to expand. The adjacent lot has 4 peach trees (will have 100s of peaches in a couple months), 4 cherry, and 2 apple trees (these won't fruit for a couple years). The property also has a gas powered grill and a fire pit.

This corner of the neighborhood has 2 dozen stray cats, a family of hawks, and abundant smaller birds and squirrels. There are absolutely no rodents around as a result.

2 miles to IIT and 5 miles to UIC and much cheaper than most other places in the city. It's a 5 minute walk to the Redline (47th station) and a 1 minute drive to the 90/94 on-ramp.

The neighborhood is normally quiet, but occasional parties wouldn't cause any issues.

I'm currently using the first floor of the building as a workshop and most of it is vacant. If you are an artist or make things, we could negotiate the use of that space as well. Possibly you could even borrow some of my tools.

Unit is available starting now or I can hold it for later. One year or short term lease or month-to-month are options. Available furnished or unfurnished. Currently it's partially furnished.

Can show any day. Thanks for your interest.
